Lame- Can no longer donate faction to opposing Faction
Ok... so... I've been in several different luxon and kurzick guilds in the past, and despite which Faction I am in, I always AB for the Kurzicks, simply because I'm focusing on just one title track and refuse to do both, ESPECIALLY considering there are now PvE titles associated with them Separately...
In the past (WEEK) I have had no problem being guested to Kurzick guilds and ABing for faction and then going to their hall, and raising their faction for their alliance 10k a drop...
TODAY I just noticed that the Rewards ambassador refuses to let me donate faction to the guild if I'm not associated with Kurzicks through my alliance.
This really annoys me because Anet is saying: "Hey, if you want to donate faction to Kurzicks, you NOW have to leave your guild to do so"
Hear me out, HAD this been implemented since the beginning I would have NO Qualms whatsoever, however, This new update basically says "If you want to increase your Kurzick title like the rest of the Kurzicks, we're forcing you to leave your guild and find a new one or have nothing to do with us at all"
/end
I find it annoying, and have nowhere seen an official update about this.

Well, that's the way it should have worked from the beginning.
About time they fixed it.

Yeah, they should have made it that way rather than letting people believe they could grow attached to a guild, and then say they have to -choose- between their guild or their title-track.

Can we still buy skills, amber/jade, and scrolls from the other faction? If not, then I'm sad.

yes you still can.
You just can't donate towards their Faction... meaning... no double points for dropping *sigh*

Why ?
Lets say your a PvE player and spend months working on the Kurzick skills on the side while doing whatever you do most of the time. Then something happens and the guild your in falls apart, so you go looking for a new guild. You find a guild that some of your previous guildmates (who don't care about the factions PvE skills and won't be willing to leave this guild) are in and it looks good, except its a Luxon guild with multiple people with high Luxon titles.
- Join them, then spend months to get your Luxon title up to the point where its equal to to what you had in your Kurzick rank to start with.
- Try to convince them to change sides and screw over their Luxon players
- Leave them and your previous guildmates behind and try to find another guild that fits you while having nobody in it that you know.

3rd option. If your title is more important than your guild...stay with that faction. If your guild is more important than your title (like me), then you work on the new faction.

While i'll admit that "fix" isn't exactly fun or deserved. (why NOW by the way?) There is a way to get the 2xfaction bonus without being in a kurzick guild, the PvE skills still give you the double title points.
But unfortunately, yes. Depending on how high you want your title to be, you will need to create new chars, the bright side is that every one of your chars will have all Kurzick skills...

Unfortunately that requires you to already have at least rank 1 of the title. Not to mention the time it takes to get a character to HzH/Cavalon would get you more faction by doing more FFF than the double bonus from getting PvE skills.

Aw...this does make me sad. I've been planning on getting at least rank 1 of the Luxon track to buy Luxon versions of all the PvE skills too...
No real reason to have them, just for show.

Oh, I have several people including officers in my guild that were kurzick once and have friends in kurzick guilds.
They are free to leave in these kind of weekends to get their kurz track better and join back after the weekend.
Happened in the past, most probably happens again this weekend.

Just keep buying kurzick/luxon skills. Even though you won't use them.
